Governor Signs Sen. Durazo’s California DREAM Loan Graduate Degree Programs Bill

SACRAMENTO –Senator María Elena Durazo (D-Los Ángeles) announced today that Governor Gavin Newsom has signed SB 354, which extends the California DREAM Loan Program to UC and CSU graduate students.

“Undocumented students face greater obstacles to get the proper financial support that is needed to enroll in a graduate or professional degree program at a public university. With the signing of SB 354, we will move our state closer towards ensuring that all Californians have the same opportunities for academic success,” said Durazo.

SB 354 is the first bill authored by Durazo signed into law.
