List of 2012 SHero Awardees

When he was a member of the Assembly representing the 51st District, Senator Price, recognizing that some of the hardest working members of a community are its women, created the SHeroes event, which honors extraordinary women in his district.

To arrive at his list of SHeroes, Senator Price solicits nominations from his former SHeroes, from local elected officials, chambers of commerce, neighborhood councils, homeowners associations and the communities of his district, at large.

These women have demonstrated leadership, pride, volunteerism and commitment to their community in a remarkable manner.

At the awards ceremony, each SHero is escorted down an aisle and presented to Senator Price. He presents each honoree with a certificate from the California State Senate and a red rose.  Then each honoree is photographed with her Senator.  During the presentation, a  Mistress of Ceremonies reads a short biography on each SHero.
